HikeCon 2014

hike_1Some SF friends of ours are putting on a killer looking conference this April in San Francisco and in Chicago this October. we wanted to help spread the word—so here it is… “Hike is a 1-day educational design conference for new designers looking for insight, honest answers, and solid solutions to help you go pro.” We love this idea and with the lineup of speakers and workshops (below) this is promising to be a must for all those up and coming designers.

Fellow designers Stephanie Di Biase & Nate Burgos collaborated on an exciting new book: Broken: Navigating the Ups and Downs of the Circus Called Work. Be sure to peep the selection of illustrations (below) by the talented Lucy Engelman. Looking like a great read—can’t wait to check it out!Broken_Book_-Lucy_Engelman_1 Broken_Book_-Lucy_Engelman_2 Broken_Book_-Lucy_Engelman_3 Broken_Book_-Lucy_Engelman_4 Broken_Book_-Lucy_Engelman_5

Owen Kirk Strandberg

Just getting back to work now after welcoming our new little man, Owen Kirk Strandberg into the world early December last year. Little guy came exactly on his due date, so at least we know he’s punctual. So far, it has been a pretty amazing experience, and it’s only been three months!
