Osamu & Manami

Two years ago, we came to San Francisco for our very first remote working trip. One of the few people we knew here at the time was our longtime friend (and fantastic designer) Osamu Akatsu. He and his wife Manami graciously invited us to their home and cooked us a delicious Japanese meal. Manami is an amazing cook, so we were excited to be invited over again this time. We were treated to an awesome array of deliciousness, including Japanese dumplings and a gorgeous (from scratch) lemon tart. Not surprisingly, we left full to the brim in the best way.

Osamu has worked at a number of top agencies throughout his career including Fallon; Goodby, Silverstein & Partners; and currently, AKQA in San Francisco. The sheer size of his portfolio is astonishing. It includes everything from branding to advertising to packaging. To see more of his wonderful work, check out his Flickr site here.
